Job details:
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Patent Analyst / IPR Associate with experience in prior art search, patent analysis, and drafting support, particularly in the agrochemical and chemistry domain.
The selected candidate will work closely with senior consultants on projects related to:
- Patentability Assessment
- Freedom-to-Operate (FTO)
- Prior Art & Literature Analysis
- Technical Patent Research
Key Responsibilities
Prior Art Search
- Conduct structured prior art searches using:
- Google Patents
- Espacenet
- USPTO Databases
- Identify relevant patents and non-patent literature
- Perform keyword, classification, and citation-based searches
Patentability Analysis
- Analyze novelty and inventive step
- Prepare technical summaries and analytical reports
- Support claim mapping and comparative analysis
Freedom-to-Operate (FTO) Support
- Assist in FTO searches and patent landscape analysis
- Map product features against existing patent claims
- Highlight potential infringement risks and observations
Drafting Support
- Assist in patent drafting:
- Background
- Detailed description
- Experimental examples
- Support preparation of figures, tables, and preliminary claim structures
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare structured reports in MS Word/PPT
- Maintain organized search records, references, and documentation
- Ensure accuracy and technical clarity in deliverables
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in Chemistry / Agrochemicals / Life Sciences
- Prior experience in patent search and analytics
- Understanding of patent databases and claim interpretation
- Strong analytical and technical writing skills
- Familiarity with Indian, US, and international patent systems is a plus
