Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Patent Engineer, based in Delhi, India. The Patent Engineer will be responsible for drafting and filing high-quality patent applications, conducting patentability searches, and supporting intellectual property (IP) strategy. Tasks include research and development assistance, prior art analysis, and collaboration with legal and technical teams to ensure compliance with patent laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will help enhance NAYAN's innovation pipeline and contribute to safeguarding its intellectual assets.
Experience: 2–3 Years
Location: Delhi (On-site)
Key Responsibilities
• Draft, review, and manage patent applications across different technology domains
• Handle patent filing and prosecution activities with jurisdictions such as USPTO, EPO, and Indian Patent Office
• Conduct prior art searches, patentability analysis, and technical claim mapping
• Work closely with internal technical teams to understand innovations and convert them into patent disclosures
• Support IP portfolio management and documentation activities
• Monitor ongoing patent processes and coordinate with external counsels/attorneys whenever required
Required Skills & Qualifications
• 2–3 years of relevant experience as a Patent Engineer, Patent Analyst, Patent Associate, or related role
• Strong understanding of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and patent lifecycle processes
• Hands-on experience in patent drafting and prosecution
• Engineering/Science degree in Software, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Electronics, or related field from a reputed university.
• Good analytical, technical writing, and communication skills
• Ability to understand complex technologies and translate them into patentable concepts
Preferred Profile
• Candidates with prior experience handling technology patents
• Immediate joiners or candidates serving short notice periods
• Professionals comfortable working from office in Delhi
