Role Description
Grand Estancia is seeking a dedicated and creative Pastry Chef to join our culinary team in a full-time, on-site role based in Salem. The Pastry Chef will be responsible for preparing a variety of desserts, pastries, bread, and confections, ensuring high-quality presentation and taste. This role involves daily food preparation, baking, collaborating with other chefs, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness. The Pastry Chef will also assist in experimenting with new recipes and catering to the preferences of guests while ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Baking and Bakery preparation
- Proven skills in Food Preparation and Cooking
- Demonstrated proficiency in Culinary and specialized Pastry Craft techniques
- Creative flair for designing desserts and innovative recipes
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a high-pressure kitchen environment
- Ability to adhere to health and safety standards in food handling
- Formal culinary training and/or a degree in the culinary arts is preferred
- Prior experience in a professional kitchen or high-end hotel is advantageous
