Position: Spare Parts Procurement Manager
Location: Howrah, West Bengal

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced Spare Parts Procurement Manager to lead procurement, inventory planning, and materials management for our electric vehicle business. The ideal candidate must have prior experience in electric vehicle components, either in electric two-wheelers, electric three-wheelers, or both. This requirement is mandatory.
- Develop and execute procurement strategies for EV spare parts and components to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing.
- Source, evaluate, negotiate, and develop domestic and international suppliers while building strong vendor relationships.
- Manage procurement of all critical EV components, including motors, controllers, battery components, wiring harnesses, chargers, suspension, brakes, plastic parts, chassis components, bearings, fasteners, and other automotive parts.
- Lead inventory and materials management by maintaining optimum stock levels, implementing inventory controls, reorder levels, safety stock, and ABC analysis.
- Ensure uninterrupted availability of spare parts for production and after-sales service while minimizing inventory carrying costs.
- Monitor supplier performance on quality, pricing, delivery, and service, and negotiate contracts, payment terms, and commercial agreements.
- Develop alternate sourcing strategies to reduce supply chain risks and ensure procurement complies with company quality standards and policies.
- Analyze procurement costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction, value engineering, and process improvements.
- Maintain procurement MIS, inventory records, dashboards, stock verification, inventory reconciliation, and materials audits using ERP/MRP systems and advanced Excel.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Production, Planning, Stores, Quality, Service, and Finance, while demonstrating strong analytical, commercial, negotiation, and multi-vendor management skills.
Qualifications
- Graduate in Mechanical, Automobile (preferred), Electrical, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
- MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain, Materials Management, Operations, or Procurement will be an added advantage.
- Professional certifications in Materials Management, Supply Chain Management, or Procurement are desirable.
