Role: Specialist - Partnerships & Govt. Affairs

Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Specialist – Partnerships & Government Affairs to drive strategic relationships across the HoReCa (Hotels, Restaurants, and Catering), QSRs (Quick Service Restaurants), and institutional sectors, along with government ministries and regulatory bodies. This role is instrumental in expanding Pune Gas' market presence, securing large-scale projects, and fostering long term collaborations.
Key Responsibilities
1. HoReCa & Hospitality Partnerships
• Identify, engage, and build strategic relationships with major hotel chains, QSR brands, restaurants, and catering businesses headquartered in Delhi/Gurgaon and other key cities.
• Develop tailored proposals showcasing Pune Gas’ solutions for commercial kitchens, heating applications, and energy efficiency in the hospitality and food service sectors.
• Work closely with decision-makers (corporate procurement heads, corporate chief engineers, and directors) to secure long-term contracts.
• Stay updated on industry trends, sustainability goals, and regulatory changes impacting energy consumption in the hospitality and food service industries.
2. Government & Institutional Engagement
• Establish and maintain relationships with key government ministries, regulatory bodies, and industry associations relevant to energy, gas infrastructure, and sustainability.
• Engage with policymakers and participate in industry discussions to advocate for cleaner energy adoption in commercial and industrial sectors.
• Identify and pursue business opportunities through government tenders, policy-driven initiatives, and public-private partnerships.
• Represent Pune Gas at government meetings, conferences, and industry networking events.
3. Business Development & Strategic Growth
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop and present compelling business cases for partnerships.
• Drive strategic collaborations that align with Pune Gas’ growth plans, sustainability goals, and revenue objectives.
• Monitor market intelligence, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities in the energy and hospitality sectors.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Energy Management, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
• Relevant experience in business development, partnerships, or sales, preferably in the energy, gas, or hospitality/QSR sector.
• Strong existing network with hotel chains, QSR brands, restaurants, government agencies, or regulatory bodies.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Knowledge of government procurement processes, tenders, and policy frameworks related to energy and sustainability.
• Ability to work independently and drive initiatives with minimal supervision.
