Company Overview
Apliqo builds Office of Finance solutions, including reporting, analysis and planning applications, on top of IBM Planning Analytics (TM1). Our products reach the market primarily through a global network of distributors and implementation partners, and the quality of that partner network is one of the most important levers for our growth.
The Partner Solutions Consultant owns the demo ecosystem and technical enablement that support the sale and implementation of Apliqo UX and the Apliqo Pre-Built Solutions across that partner network. The role sits at the intersection of Product Management, Channel Management and the partner sales process, and is the technical counterpart to Customer Success: where Customer Success is the key contact point with customers post-sale, this role is the key technical contact point with partners and distributors pre-sale.
The remit is partner-facing and internal-facing rather than customer-facing. The role does not carry a sales quota and does not deliver sales pitches to end customers; those are run by our partners or by our own sales team. Instead, the role exists to make sure partner sales and implementation personnel are equipped, trained and continuously up to date on Apliqo’s products, demo assets and best-practice solution narratives. For the right person, that means owning a defined functional area end-to-end and having a direct line into Product Management on roadmap and release decisions.
Key ResponsibilitiesDemo Asset Ownership & Curation
Own the end-to-end lifecycle of all demo assets for Apliqo UX and the Apliqo Pre-Built Solutions. Maintain a structured, version-controlled library of demo environments, datasets, scenarios and supporting materials. Keep demo content current with each product release, including new features, UI changes and updated best-practice configurations, and develop new scenarios in response to product evolution, market positioning and partner feedback. Retire outdated assets and manage the transition to refreshed versions.
Partner Sales & Implementation Enablement
Design and deliver structured onboarding for new sales and implementation personnel joining distributor and partner organisations. Run regular update and refresher sessions for established partner staff covering product releases, new demo assets and evolving positioning. Tailor enablement to the distinct needs of sales-facing personnel and implementation consultants, recognising that these two audiences need different things from us and the content should reflect that.
Product & Solution Expertise
Maintain deep, current expertise across Apliqo UX and the full Pre-Built Solutions portfolio. Stay ahead of the product roadmap and work with Product Management to prepare enablement assets in advance of each release. Develop a strong working knowledge of the underlying IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) platform, sufficient to demo and explain integration points and architectural concepts.
Office of Finance Domain Fluency
Our customers are CFOs, controllers and FP&A teams, and our demos and enablement content have to speak their language. Act as an internal sparring partner on Office of Finance processes such as period-end close, consolidation, budgeting, forecasting, financial and management reporting, and make sure demo narratives, datasets and use cases reflect how these processes actually run in practice. Where useful, accompany Office of Finance process discussions with partners and product teams to keep our positioning grounded in real-world finance work.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Product Management on release planning, feature messaging and demo readiness. Partner with Sales and Channel Management to understand enablement priorities and gaps across the partner network. Work directly with Sales Managers on custom demos and proof-of-concept builds in support of strategic opportunities. Support Marketing with demo content and product narratives for campaigns, events and webinars where partner enablement is the goal.
Feedback Loop to Customer Success & Product Management
Capture structured feedback from partner sales and implementation teams on product capabilities, demo gaps and positioning challenges. Surface recurring themes to Customer Success and Product Management to inform roadmap discussions and release prioritisation.
Qualifications & Skills
• Strong hands-on experience with IBM Planning Analytics (TM1), or a close equivalent such as Jedox or Infor EPM.
• A background as a solution consultant, implementation consultant or pre-sales consultant in the EPM / CPM space.
• Working knowledge of Office of Finance processes such as controlling, FP&A, financial and management reporting, period-end close, budgeting and planning, gained either in-house in a finance function or through extensive client engagement work in that domain.
• Demonstrated ability to build polished, narrative-driven product demos that connect to a finance audience.
• Strong instructional and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor content to different audiences (sales versus implementation; new joiners versus experienced practitioners).
• Comfortable working independently and owning a defined functional area end-to-end.
• Fluency in written and spoken English is required. Additional European languages are an advantage.
Success Metrics
• Coverage and currency of the demo asset library across Apliqo UX and the Pre-Built Solutions.
• Partner satisfaction with enablement programmes and content quality.
• Demo asset readiness at each product release, with assets available and partners trained on or before GA.
• Quality and actionability of partner feedback channelled to Customer Success and Product Management.
Reporting Line & Location
This role reports into Product Management and works cross-functionally with Channel Management, Sales, Customer Success, Engineering and Marketing.
The role will have global exposure within Apliqo, Cubewise and the Apliqo partner network.
This role is fully remote with EU timezone workhours. Counterparties and team members are located in Australia, India and Europe.
