Wintel L3 Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Wintel L3 Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of Windows operating systems and VMware virtualization technologies. This role is critical in ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our Wintel environments. As a Wintel L3 Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting issues, and assisting in the administration of our Wintel infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and support Windows Server environments, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
- Manage and maintain VMware infrastructure, including virtual machine provisioning and resource allocation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Wintel systems and VMware environments.
- Assist in the implementation of system upgrades, patches, and security measures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of Wintel services.
- Document processes, procedures, and technical specifications for Wintel systems.
- Participate in on-call support rotation as needed.
Mandatory Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Wintel Administration, including Windows Server 2016/2019.
- Basic understanding of VMware virtualization technologies.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation tasks.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies and services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
- Experience with monitoring tools and performance tuning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 0-1 years of experience in Wintel administration or related IT support roles.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSA, VMware Certified Professional) are a plus.
