Confidential Mandate | Partner – Venture Capital | Sector Cluster Lead
About the Company
A Tier-1 Multi-Stage VC Fund with USD 500Mn in AUM and 400+ portfolio companies across India is hiring a Partner to own one of its core sector clusters and co-lead its CAT I Angel Fund strategy. This is a principal-level role.
About the Role
Full P&L. Full investment cycle ownership. Real carry.
Responsibilities
- End-to-end investment ownership: sourcing → IC → fundraising → exits
- Lead and mentor an 8–10 member sector cluster pod
- Build sector theses, market maps, and competitive landscapes
- Act as primary bridge between portfolio founders and internal teams
- Drive secondaries, structured exits, and liquidity pathways
- Co-lead CAT I Angel Fund: LP engagement, pipeline, and AIF governance
Qualifications
- 6–10+ years in VC, CVC, PE, IB, or startup leadership
- Hands-on experience across sourcing, diligence, and exits
- Prior team leadership and P&L ownership
- Sector depth in Deeptech / AI / Fintech / D2C / Consumer Brands
- Founder-friendly approach with strong stakeholder management
Required Skills
