About the Brand

MAYA is a contemporary fashion brand blending Indian craftsmanship with modern Western silhouettes. We are an early-stage brand building our first collection, working closely with local suppliers and artisans across India.

We are looking for a reliable, proactive India-based assistant to act as our on-ground support for sourcing, sampling, and logistics.

Role Overview

This is a part-time, flexible role ideal for someone early in their career who wants hands-on experience in fashion production and operations. You will work directly with the founder (based in Europe) and act as a key point of contact in India, helping execute tasks that require a local presence.

Key Responsibilities

Sourcing & Market Visits

• Visit local markets to source fabrics, trims, and materials
• Share photos/videos for selection and approvals
• Collect and organize samples

Sampling & Vendor Coordination

• Pick up/drop off samples with tailors and vendors
• Follow up on timelines and progress
• Conduct basic quality checks (finishing, stitching, etc.)

Logistics & Shipping

• Coordinate shipments (DHL/FedEx)
• Pack and send samples internationally
• Track deliveries and update regularly

Admin & Coordination

• Maintain simple trackers (samples, vendors, timelines)
• Schedule vendor visits or appointments
• Organize communication and updates

On-Ground Support

• Act as a local representative when needed
• Handle small operational tasks or urgent requests

Who We’re Looking For

• Based in India (Delhi, Mumbai, or open to travel when needed)
• Strong communication skills (English required)
• Organised, reliable, and proactive
• Comfortable using WhatsApp, Google Sheets, etc.
• Interest in fashion is a plus (not required)
• Able to visit markets and vendors independently

Compensation & Structure

• Part-time, flexible hours
• Monthly retainer: ~₹15,000 (depending on experience)
• Travel expenses covered when required
• Opportunity to grow with the brand over time
