We are looking for experienced professionals with strong expertise in mainframe database technologies, specifically IMS and Db2 for z/OS.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer and manage enterprise databases using DBMS to ensure efficient data storage and organization
Gather and analyze user requirements; design, implement, and maintain database solutions
Collaborate with development teams and end users to understand data access needs, transaction volumes, and performance requirements
Design and manage logical and physical database structures, including storage, access methods, and space allocation
Monitor and optimize database performance through tuning and parameter adjustments
Implement database changes, conduct testing, and resolve issues to ensure system stability
Define and manage user access controls and data security
Support performance monitoring using database utilities and tools
Work closely with programmers and analysts to implement system improvements
Provide technical guidance, troubleshoot issues, and support end users
Train users and ensure best practices in database management
Requirements:
Strong experience in IMS and Db2 for z/OS
Proven expertise in database design, administration, and performance tuning
Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage complex database environments
