Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site Accountant role based in Ahmedabad for professionals with approximately 3 to 4 years of experience, with an immediate joining opportunity. The Accountant will manage day-to-day bookkeeping, including recording transactions, maintaining ledgers, reconciling bank statements, and ensuring accurate entry of income and expenses. The role includes preparing invoices, monitoring accounts payable and receivable, assisting with payroll data, and supporting monthly and quarterly financial closing activities. The Accountant will help generate financial reports, support budgeting and cash flow tracking, and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and local tax regulations. Collaboration with the finance lead and management team is expected to provide timely financial insights that support MediaF5™’s operational and growth decisions.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in core accounting practices, including bookkeeping, ledger management, bank reconciliation, and preparation of financial statements.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books or similar) and proficiency in MS Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
- Knowledge of Indian taxation, GST, TDS, and compliance-related filings relevant to small and medium-sized businesses.
- Ability to manage accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, expense tracking, and support payroll-related calculations.
- Excellent attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with internal teams, vendors, and external partners such as auditors or consultants.
- 3 to 4 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in an agency, services, or SME environment; immediate availability to join.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; additional professional certifications are an advantage.
- Integrity, reliability, and a proactive approach to identifying discrepancies, improving financial processes, and supporting business decisions.
