About the role

ROLE SUMMARY 
As a Product Operations Manager (Datasets) at Parspec, you will be the operational backbone of our product team, ensuring smooth collaboration and efficient processes across multiple functions. 

You will:

  1. Coordinate with multiple functional teams - AI, Product, Data Annotation Vendors, QA, Development, Web Crawling and Business teams - for getting requirements & to ensure we are on track and aligned with high-level business objectives
  2. Lead QA for the Data pipelines(AI & Crawler systems) and set up relevant efficient business processes
  3. Support overall engineering tasks related to dataset preparation projects, data quality checks with minimal oversight

WHAT YOU WILL DO

You will be managing multiple data projects and leading QA for our Data Pipelines (AI & Crawler Systems) on a daily basis.

Deliver highly accurate data across multiple product/engineering requirements

  1. Work on data QA & preparation efforts with multiple data annotation service teams with daily coordination meetings and progress trackers 
  2. Work closely with Product, AI and Crawler teams to understand data preparation and data QA requirements that power multiple Parspec products 
  3. Defining clear and scalable processes for QA of data inputs and pipelines
  4. Ensure data inputs to our systems are accurate, consistent & reliable
  5. Assess any risks to delivery timelines early on and provide actionable recommendations
  6. Dive into detailed, time-consuming tasks when necessary to understand issues and ensure sanity of set processes/instructions around data preparation. Understand the importance of groundwork in achieving project success.
  7. Ensuring accuracy in all aspects of project management, documentation, and QA efforts.; with meticulous attention to detail 
  8. Lead initiatives to reduce manual efforts, scale data processes and enhance productivity across teams. Assess the need of automation/scripting for tasks.
  9. Constantly evolving the process based on iterative inputs from Product & Engineering teams.
  10. Assess need for hiring and scaling resources (internally & externally) to drive multiple product/engineering initiatives

Coordination between multi-functional teams (External and Internal) for Data projects

  1. Clearly reporting findings to the other teams. Ensure proper trackers are in place for relevant teams to understand project status.
  2. Establish and maintain effective communication channels with stakeholders
  3. Create and manage detailed/extensive documentation which is easy to understand and follow. Define scalable KT processes that avoid re-work.
  4. Collaborate with multiple teams internally, ensuring alignment of project goals, effective resource allocation, and cohesive teamwork

Improve Operational Processes & Increase Efficiency 

  1. Identify, implement, and standardize best practices for product operations across the organization
  2. Create and manage operational workflows

WHAT DOES YOUR ARSENAL LOOK LIKE

Required

  1. At least 2-3 years of experience in operations, strategy or equivalent roles (No freshers) 
  2. Strong critical thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proven ability to approach both quantitative and qualitative challenges effectively
  3. Deliver on multiple deadlines and priorities compulsively as a self-directed individual, comfortable with a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
  4. Excellent written and oral communication skills in English along with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
  5. Highly organized with strong attention to detail in tracking, documenting, and improving operational workflows.
  6. Demonstrated ability to learn fast and adapt in a rapidly evolving field
  7. Experience with rapid scaling of early-stage products
  8. Working proficiency with Excel and JIRA(JQL) to manage & track deliverables
  9. Proficient in Confluence, Google workspace, Loom, Slack

Preferred, but optional

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related fields
  2. Experience leading and working with multiple data annotation vendors 
  3. Sufficient experience in any construction or building engineering firm - with the goal of having a clear understanding of how building products are spec’d
  4. Prior experience working with web crawlers or QA of data pipelines meant for AI ecosystems
  5. Prior experience working on technology products for construction or other similar industries, e.g., automotive, aerospace, manufacturing  
  6. Experience working with geographically distributed teams and users across multiple time zones
