Job Title: Wholesale – Inside Sales Representative and Administration Specialist

Reports To: Wholesale – Store Manager

Location: Smithfield, NC

Employment Status: Full-Time

FLSA Status: Exempt


This position is on-site, with no remote work. The typical work hours Monday – Friday from 7:30AM – 5:00PM


Job Summary:

In this role, the Wholesale – Inside Sales Representative and Administration Specialist will be tasked with managing inside sales and sales operations efforts with the goal of increasing overall service levels and account penetration.


Essential Functions and Tasks:

 

Account Growth and Relationship Management:

  • Work individually and in conjunction with existing account managers to increase sales of key brands and products through improved service levels, communication, and relationship building.
  • Identify and contact potential customers through cold calling, warm calling and other outreach methods
  • Present tire products, services, and solutions to meet customer needs, explain benefits and close deals with complete customer satisfaction
  • Build relationships with new and existing customers, including fleet and commercial accounts
  • Provide reporting as necessary to key accounts as it relates to program attainment goals, pricing changes, and promotional activities.
  • Ensure all necessary sales-related paperwork is completed in an accurate and timely fashion. This includes assisting with returns processing, national account paperwork, and customer warranty claims. 

Administration Support and Customer Service:

  • Maintain a high level of customer service satisfaction by addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring proper after – sale support
  • Open new accounts and coordinate sales coverage and distribution services to ensure customer success. 
  • Promote associated dealer programs and monitor dealer attainment levels. 
  • Provide feedback to sales management and purchasing as it relates to market pricing, unmet customer demand, new opportunities, and potential growth initiatives. 
  • Continue to develop product and tire business knowledge through participation in training opportunities, self-study, and cross training.

  • Any other duties assigned by the store manager


Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in marketing, business, or communications is preferred
  • 3–6 years of relevant in sales within the tire industry, hands‑on experience in the field
  • Ability to work well with a team and independently
  • Excellent organizational skills with a high attention to detail 
  • Tire Product experience is preferred – including knowledge of load and speed ratings, UTQG grades, OE fitment requirements, and performance characteristics across major brands
  • Knowledge of regional market pricing and competitive landscapes with int the automotive and tire industry
  • Demonstrated experience in sales growth
  • Candidate must be proficient in cold calling relationship building, and achieving sales targets while working in an office setting
  • AS400 experience preferred
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred

Required Physical Abilities:

Physical requirements of this position may require a range of activities. These can include, but are not limited to:

  • Lifting and carrying – the ability to lift and transport objects of specified weights, which may vary by job. For example, a job may require lifting up 25-50lbs regularly. 
  • Standing and walking – this position will require standing and walking for periods of time
  • Bending and stooping – bending, stooping, or crouching are requiring to effectively preform essential duties of this position.
  • Reaching and pushing/pulling – the ability to reach for items, push carts, or pull equipment will be necessary for daily activities.
  • Sitting – there will be times this position will be needed to sit for prolonged periods of time.
  • This position will also be required to operate certain machinery and other equipment safely.


Work Environment:

This is an in-person position requiring travel to and from the Smithfield, NC facility daily. From time to time, additional travel to other Parrish Tire locations may be required.


Monday – Friday from 7:30AM – 5:00PM
