Parkway Bank is looking for an Assistant Vice President, Treasury Management Officer at our Harwood Heights, IL location. Position Summary:
Responsible for relationship management and business development through proactively cross-selling Treasury Management products and services. Responsible for securing all executed agreements for new and requested changes for all clients. Coordinates and handles product and service set-up activities which include implementation and training of customers. Provides sales, operations, and product support to internal bank staff as well as existing and potential bank clients on Treasury Management products and services.
- Provides an exceptional level of quality service for internal and external customers and responds to customers’ needs, questions and concerns in an accurate, effective and timely manner.
- Supports the sales and service goals for the organization by proactively seeking new customers through referrals and prospecting.
- Communicates with Treasury Management clients to finalize selected product solutions and completes required agreements; coordinates implementation and training of selected solutions in conjunction with manager and other internal departments
- Onboards Treasury Management clients with products and services; includes new-to-bank clients and existing clients requesting additional services.
- Ensures products and services are implemented with a high level of quality and customer satisfaction
- Performs problem resolution and troubleshoots activities for Treasury Management client base in a structured format
- Assists with customer service needs for Treasury Management clients
- Creates formal sales proposals, responds to Request for Proposals (RFP) pro formas, and other sales and marketing materials to be used in the Treasury Management sales process; determines appropriate strategy and approach to crafting a comprehensive response designed to successfully win new business.
- Prepares appropriate contracts, agreements and new account documentation relative to the Treasury Management products and services offered in accordance with Parkway Bank policies and procedures.
- Collaborates with other departments and team members in the preparation and presentation of commercial banking proposals and request for financial proposals (RFP’s).
- Provides training on technical and sales aspects of Treasury Management products
- Participates and contributes to special projects as directed
- Maintains knowledge of Treasury Management products and services industry, including regulations, features and benefits of current and future product offerings, and competition with others within the marketplace
- Provides status reports to Management for client base
- Engages with Commercial Sales Team to identify potential sales opportunities
- Acts as backup in assisting customers with account inquiries, resetting passwords and provides instructions for customers using business online banking, including ACH, remote deposit capture, establishing automatic account transfers and other treasury management products.
- Assists with the annual review of all Treasury Management services.
- Reviews and analyzes current and potential commercial relationships and recommend appropriate bank products and services.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics Information Systems or related area preferred
- Minimum of five years’ experience in banking, including Treasury Management, commercial loan operations, or related field
- Knowledge of bank operations, system capabilities, controls, transaction flow and data processing (FIS system knowledge preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent computer skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required
- Effective planning and organizational skills
- Ability to handle multiple assignments effectively
- Ability to exercise confidentiality and discretionary judgment
