Job Summary:
The Operations Excellence Manager is responsible for driving operational efficiency, safety, and quality across all DC and Branch environments. This role leads strategic initiatives in EWM/WM system support across the network, continuous improvement analysis, and quality and safety programs. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise with leadership acumen to foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and operational excellence.
Environmental Health and Safety 10%
- Champion a proactive safety culture through training, audits, and behavioural expectations
- Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate with Safety Teams to align site practices with corporate standards
- Directly supports EHS Manager on Network Initiatives
- Ensure Compliance with The Leader Safety Playbook and ISO-14001 requirements
EWM/WM Support 20%
- Oversee configuration, troubleshooting, and enhancement of SAP EWM/WM systems for all SAP WM/EWM managed facilities
- Collaborate with IT and DC and Branch teams to ensure system integrity and process alignment
- Lead training and adoption of system updates and best practices
KPI Development & Performance Management - 30%
- Own the design, implementation, and ongoing governance of the operational KPI framework — from leading indicators through lagging outcomes
- Establish performance baselines, set improvement targets, and define accountability structures across DC and branch locations
- Build and maintain performance dashboards that translate operational data into clear, actionable insights for site leaders and senior management
- Lead the weekly and monthly performance review cadence; ensure metrics tell a coherent operational story, not just a collection of numbers
- Identify trends, flag early warning signals, and escalate performance risks with recommended
Continuous Improvement & Analysis– 30%
- Identify inefficiencies and lead Kaizen, Lean, or Six Sigma initiatives
- Analyze operational data to uncover trends and improvement opportunities
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops to align teams on process enhancements
- Identify Root Cause and implement Preventative Measures
- Directly Supports the Continuous Improvement Manager
- Sustain 5s Culture with periodic compliance audits
- Promoting and ensuring compliance of Leader Standard Work at all levels
Quality Management – 10%
- Implement and monitor quality control procedures across operations
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action planning for non-conformances
- Ensure compliance with ISO, customer, and internal quality standards
- Directly Supports the ICQA Program Manager
