Senior IT Software Engineer

Your CareerThis position is responsible for Palo Alto Networks' (PANW)'s Infrastructure Platform Engineering org to join an innovative and fast-paced team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in developing and deploying scalable, secure and efficient microservice solutions for Infrastructure. You will work with a team of software developers writing great quality software to create digital visibility and action taking mechanisms for PANW's global infrastructure on cloud and on-prem.Your Impact* Software Development - Develop and maintain scalable infrastructure services across infrastructure verticals such as Network, Compute, DB,etc.* System Design - Implement complex systems with a focus on scalability, security, and reliability, applying best practices such as unit tests and following design patterns.* Microservices Development - Build and support production-grade microservices using REST API frameworks such as Flask, Django, etc.* Cloud Platforms - Leverage public cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) to build and deploy software while ensuring high availability and performance* Orchestration & Optimization - Implement infrastructure orchestration services and frameworks to optimize deployment pipelines and reduce manual effort* Collaboration - Work closely with cross-functional teams including SREs, Network Engineers, product teams, and security engineers to align development efforts with business objectives* Critical Thinking - Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle complex challenges in software and infrastructure engineering
