Role Overview
We are seeking a Palantir Foundry certified professional to join our data engineering/analytics team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience building data pipelines, developing applications, and creating operational workflows on the Palantir Foundry platform, along with a recognized Foundry certification.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain data pipelines using Foundry's Pipeline Builder, Code Repositories, and Code Workbook
- Develop and manage the Ontology layer, including object types, links, and actions
- Build operational applications using Workshop for business users
- Create analytics and dashboards using Contour and Quiver
- Implement data governance, security markings, and restricted views to protect sensitive data
- Integrate external data sources (AWS S3, Azure Blob, Google Cloud Storage, on-prem systems) via Foundry's Data Connection tools
- Collaborate with Foundry Administrators to manage access, permissions, and environment configuration
- Leverage Palantir AIP (AI Platform) for agentic workflows and LLM-driven use cases where applicable
- Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance across pipelines and downstream applications
- Work cross-functionally with business stakeholders to scope use cases and translate requirements into Foundry solutions
Required Qualifications
- Palantir Foundry Certification (Data Engineer, Application Developer, or Solutions Architect track) — required/strongly preferred
- Proven hands-on experience working in a Foundry environment (personal, employer-provided, or Developer Tier account)
- Proficiency in Python and/or SQL for data transformation
- Experience with Apache Spark-based transformation logic
- Understanding of the Foundry Ontology, data lineage, and object modeling
- Familiarity with data governance and access control practices within Foundry
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer (at Palantir or a client organization)
- Experience with Palantir Gotham (for defense/intelligence-focused roles)
- Exposure to Palantir AIP and agentic/LLM-based workflows
- Background in defense, healthcare, finance, or supply chain sectors (common Palantir client industries)
- Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Certification Verification (for Recruiters/Hiring Managers)
