About the role

As Lead Designer at Pair Team, you will play a critical role in building a technology-enabled service that improves healthcare access and outcomes for underserved communities. You will own the design roadmap and be the champion of the product experience. You will work on mission-critical products that shape the direction of the company. This is a fully remote position reporting to the Head of Product. **What You'll Do** * Lead the UI and UX across Pair Team's entire product experience * Paint the vision for the evolution of the product experience in partnership with product leadership and CEO * Drive experience exploration for mission critical projects * Work directly with clinicians, mental health specialists, community health workers, and non-profit partners to design best-in-class workflows for whole-person patient care * Work alongside our AI team to establish novel patterns on how the latest LLM technology can build a higher quality, more efficient care delivery system * Collaborate with thought partners in engineering, product management, data science, and operations to discover and execute on new product opportunities * Set the tone for the design team as our Lead Product Designer **What You'll Need** * 7+ years of experience in product design * 3+ years of experience with an early- or mid-stage startup * Building products where the end users are operations team members * Experience with products that automate or streamline complex workflows, or experience with a digital health startup are a big plus! * Strong collaboration skills with thought partners from engineering, product management, data science, and operations * Experience conducting qualitative research (customer interviews) and quantitative analysis to make product decisions * Strong desire to work in an early stage startup environment that is fast paced, complex, and has minimal barriers to make decisions (no "red tape") * Passion for helping individuals experiencing complex chronic needs such as homelessness, severe mental illness, and substance use disorder * Ownership mindset – own driving results for the mission, business, and customer experience
