Job Title: Paint Shop Maintenance – Team Member (Shop Floor)
Job SummaryResponsible for executing day-to-day maintenance activities in the paint shop, ensuring equipment reliability, safety compliance, and smooth production operations. Supports breakdown maintenance, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities 🛡️
Safety & 5S - Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and 5S practices on the shop floor
- Work towards zero accidents and incidents
- Identify unsafe conditions and take corrective actions
🔍
Equipment Monitoring & Inspection - Perform daily equipment patrolling and inspection
- Identify abnormalities and take immediate corrective actions
- Follow up and close inspection notifications
🛠️
Maintenance Activities - Attend and resolve electrical and mechanical breakdowns
- Support Time-Based Maintenance (TBM) activities
- Ensure machine readiness during startup and shift changes
⚙️
Breakdown Analysis & MTTR - Participate in breakdown analysis and countermeasure implementation
- Focus on reducing MTTR (Mean Time to Repair)
- Contribute to improving equipment reliability

Documentation & Communication - Record daily maintenance activities in logs
- Maintain proper shift communication and handover
- Report abnormalities and actions taken
👥
Meetings & Coordination - Attend morning and shift meetings
- Share updates on breakdowns, actions, and pending issues
- Coordinate with team leaders and production teams
🔧
Improvement Activities - Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
- Support business plan and maintenance improvement activities
- Suggest ideas for productivity and efficiency enhancement

Automation & Backup - Manage PLC and drive backups
- Assist in basic troubleshooting of automation systems
Required Qualifications 🎓
Education - Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical / Mechatronics
🧠
Experience - 5-10 years in paint shop / manufacturing / maintenance environment (preferred)
🔧
Technical Skills - Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical maintenance
- Understanding of paint shop equipment (booths, conveyors, pumps – added advantage)
- Exposure to PLC systems and drives (basic level)
