Role Description The Packing & Finishing Incharge is a full-time, on-site role located in the Greater Kolkata Area. This role oversees daily packing and finishing operations, including organizing workflows, assigning tasks to packing staff, and ensuring products are packed according to company standards and customer requirements. The position is responsible for monitoring quality at each stage, checking labels and documentation, and maintaining accurate records of packed and dispatched goods. The Packing & Finishing Incharge coordinates with procurement, warehouse, and dispatch teams to manage inventory, minimize damage, and meet delivery timelines. The role also involves maintaining a safe and orderly work environment, training team members on procedures, and reporting operational issues to management.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and supervisory skills, with the ability to manage packing and finishing teams and workflows.
- Experience in quality control, including visual inspection, adherence to packing standards, and documentation accuracy.
- Knowledge of basic inventory management, material handling, and coordination with warehouse or logistics teams.
- Ability to maintain safety and cleanliness standards in the packing area and implement standard operating procedures.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to provide clear instructions and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Prior experience in packing, finishing, or production operations in a manufacturing or trading environment is preferred.
- Basic computer literacy for maintaining records, preparing simple reports, and using spreadsheets or ERP tools.
- Minimum high school education or equivalent; vocational or technical training in production or logistics is an advantage.
