Key Responsibilities:
1. End-to-End Packaging Development
· New Product Development (NPD): Lead the packaging design for new launches in personal care, including selection of bottles (PET/HDPE), tubes, glass jars, and specialized closures (pumps, sprayers, flip-tops).
· Artisanal Soap Packaging: Innovate on eco-friendly, moisture-resistant wraps and secondary boxes for our signature bar soaps to prevent scent migration and maintain aesthetic appeal.
· Compatibility Testing: Conduct rigorous stability and compatibility trials to ensure that high-active ingredients, essential oils, and emulsions in our creams and lotions do not react with packaging materials.
2. Innovation & D2C Experience
· Unboxing Strategy: Design secondary and tertiary packaging specifically for the D2C journey, ensuring that products arrive leak-proof and provide a "wow" factor for the consumer.
· Dispensing Systems: Optimize the performance of pumps and sprayers for different viscosities—from thick creams to lightweight value-added oils.
· Sustainability & ESG: Pioneer the shift toward Mono-materials, PCR (Post-Consumer Recycled) plastics, and plastic-free alternatives in line with Ghar Soaps' commitment to conscious beauty.
3. Technical Operations & Vendor Management
· Specification Management: Create detailed Packaging BOMs (Bill of Materials) and technical drawings for all components.
· Trial & Scale-up: Oversee line trials at our manufacturing units to ensure seamless performance on filling and labelling machines.
· Vendor Development: Identify and partner with premium packaging converters and closure manufacturers, specifically in the Maharashtra industrial clusters.
Skills & Qualifications
· Education: Mandatory Degree/Diploma from IIP (Indian Institute of Packaging) or SIES School of Packaging.
· Experience: 4–5 years in a Personal Care/Cosmetics FMCG or a high-growth Skincare Start-up.
· Technical Proficiency:
o Strong understanding of polymer science and glass manufacturing.
o Knowledge of printing technologies (Silk screening, Foil stamping, UV coating) for premium finishes.
o Familiarity with FSSAI/Legal Metrology/Cosmetic Act labelling requirements.
