About the role

Servers play a key role in creating a positive dining experience by providing attentive, friendly, and efficient service. They greet guests, present menus, explain specials, take accurate orders, and deliver food and beverages promptly while ensuring quality and presentation standards are met. Throughout the meal, servers anticipate guest needs, handle concerns with professionalism, and ensure every guest leaves satisfied.

The role also includes processing payments, maintaining a clean and organized section, and completing opening and closing side work. Servers are expected to work as part of a team by running food, bussing tables, and restocking supplies as needed. Adherence to all safety, sanitation, and alcohol service and allergen policies are required, along with a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to remain professional in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

  • Previous serving experience in a full-service restaurant.

  • Reliable transportation and dependability are a must.

  • Must be eligible to obtain an alcohol pouring permit from Gwinnett County (Aqua Terra) and pass a background check with no drug or alchohol charges (Fish Tales & Pig Tales).

  • Servers must participate in alcohol-awareness training and certification (Fish Tales & Pig Tales). 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-first mindset.

  • Excellent stress management and organizational skills.

  • Ability to stand for long periods, work in outdoor environments (Fish Tales & Pig Tales), and lift/carry up to 30 lbs.

  • Must bring required items to each shift (pens, server book, bank/change, clean apron).

  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends.

  • Holidays and holiday weekends are required.

  • We are seasonal restaurants open seven days a week for eight months of the year. To remain on our active roster, all employees must provide a minimum of three days of availability each week during the operating season. Any changes to your availability must be communicated 2 weeks in advance and approved by the Staffing Director (Fish Tales and Pig Tales). 
  • All servers are expected to uphold Ozaki, LLC’s standards of guest service, teamwork, and professionalism.
