Company Description Eminent Biosciences (EMBS) is a Bio-Pharmaco Informatics outsourcing research organization led by subject experts in biosciences, information technology, and pharmaceutical sectors, with operations in Hyderabad and Indore, India. EMBS focuses on in silico laboratory solutions, providing advanced bioinformatics and computational biology services through innovative ideas and algorithms. The organization specializes in top-tier software and database development that supports research in life sciences and the pharmaceutical industry. EMBS designs unique, user-centered interfaces and usability-focused software tools for sequence analysis, 3D structure visualization, and both automatically and manually curated databases. Many of these tools are freely available as fully functional trials, enabling broad access for research communities.
Role Description The Owner role at Eminent Biosciences is a full-time, on-site position based in Indore. The Owner will provide strategic leadership, define business goals, and oversee the organization’s operations across bioinformatics, software development, and pharma-related services. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing key stakeholder relationships, guiding research and product development priorities, and ensuring alignment with market needs and regulatory expectations. The role involves supervising cross-functional teams, setting performance benchmarks, approving project plans and budgets, and monitoring the quality and impact of software and database solutions. The Owner will also drive business development, represent EMBS in industry forums, and cultivate partnerships with research institutions, clients, and collaborators.
Qualifications
- Strong background in biosciences, bioinformatics, computational biology, or a related life sciences field.
- Experience leading or owning a technology-driven or research-focused organization, preferably in pharma, biotech, or health IT.
- Proven ability in strategic planning, business development, and organizational management.
- Familiarity with software and database development processes, including user interface and usability considerations.
- Understanding of in silico methods, sequence analysis, structural biology, and data curation practices.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated capability to manage cross-functional teams and coordinate work across multiple locations.
- Master’s or doctoral degree in biosciences, bioinformatics, pharmaceutical sciences, computer science, or a related discipline is highly beneficial.
- Experience working with global research partners, clients, or outsourcing projects is an advantage.
