The Rotaract Club of Rajarata University is a youth-led community service organization based at the Rajarata University of Sri Lanka. It operates as part of Rotaract, an international program under Rotary International, and is driven by university students passionate about creating positive change. Since its establishment in 2022, the club has actively engaged in impactful initiatives, including blood donation camps, health awareness programs, and support for underserved areas. The club is dedicated to fostering community well-being and empowering youth to lead meaningful actions towards societal development.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru for the position of Owner in the Rotaract Club of Rajarata University. The role involves overseeing the strategic direction and operations of the club, facilitating collaboration among members, and guiding the execution of community service initiatives. The Owner will also manage stakeholder relationships, represent the organization at events, and ensure the sustainability of the club’s efforts. Responsibilities further include organizing and leading meetings, driving volunteer engagement, and reporting on progress.
Qualifications
- Leadership and management skills, including team facilitation, decision-making, and conflict resolution
- Strong organizational abilities, such as project planning, event coordination, and time management
- Community service experience or a demonstrated commitment to social impact initiatives
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder engagement and member collaboration
- Adaptability and problem-solving skills to address challenges in dynamic environments
- Proficiency in public speaking and representing organizational goals
- Knowledge of the Rotaract movement, Rotary International, or similar youth-led programs is a plus
- A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline is desirable, but equivalent experience in social service or leadership roles is also welcomed
