Company Description The Rotaract Club of Najjeera brings together individuals ages 18 and older to develop their leadership and professional skills while learning more about diversity, equity, and inclusion. Members exchange ideas with community leaders, fostering personal growth and community development through service. The club offers a welcoming environment for people who want to make a positive impact while connecting with others. Meetings are held every Wednesday from 7 PM to 8 PM (EAT) at Tavern Breeze Gardens in Najjeera, Wakiso District, with opportunities to engage virtually. As part of the broader Rotary and Rotaract network, the club collaborates with communities locally and globally to drive meaningful change.
Role Description The Owner role at the Rotaract Club of Najjeera is a full-time remote position responsible for providing overall strategic direction, governance, and stewardship for the club. On a day-to-day basis, the Owner oversees program planning, coordinates service projects, and ensures alignment with the club’s mission of leadership development and community impact. This role involves collaborating with club officers and members, managing partnerships with community leaders, and supporting initiatives related to diversity, equity, and inclusion. The Owner monitors club performance, chairs key meetings when needed, and facilitates communication across teams to maintain engagement and accountability. The position also includes mentoring emerging leaders, supporting membership growth, and representing the club in regional or international Rotaract and Rotary activities.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership, strategic planning, and organizational skills to guide club activities and long-term initiatives.
- Experience in community service, non-profit management, or volunteer coordination to support service-based programs.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills for engaging members, partners, and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and the ability to foster an inclusive club culture.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet agreed timelines.
- Prior experience with Rotary, Rotaract, or similar civic or community organizations is an advantage.
- Comfort with basic digital tools and virtual collaboration platforms for remote meetings and coordination.
- Relevant education or training in leadership, social sciences, community development, or a related field is beneficial.
