Role Description The Owner role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Pune District, responsible for overseeing the strategic and operational direction of SAS’s local business activities. The Owner will define and execute business plans, set performance goals, and ensure alignment with SAS’s global standards for data and AI solutions. Daily responsibilities include managing financial performance, supervising core operations, building and maintaining key customer and partner relationships, and ensuring high-quality delivery of products and services. The role involves leading and developing teams, fostering a culture of ethical, inclusive, and high-performance work practices, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies. The Owner will also identify growth opportunities, represent SAS in local market engagements, and collaborate with regional and global leadership to support long-term business success.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in business ownership, general management, or senior leadership roles, preferably within technology, analytics, or related industries.
- Strong background in strategic planning, financial management, and operational oversight to drive sustainable growth and profitability.
- Proven ability to build and lead diverse teams, including talent development, performance management, and fostering an inclusive workplace culture.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, including customer relationship building, partner engagement, and executive-level communication.
- Understanding of data and AI trends, analytics-driven decision-making, and technology-driven business models.
- Exceptional problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills, with the capacity to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work on-site in Pune District and collaborate effectively with regional and global SAS teams.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, management, technology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience with regulatory compliance, risk management, and ethical business practices.
- Comfort with change management and business transformation, including scaling operations and entering new markets.
