Company Description IEEE STB MMMUT is the IEEE Student Branch at Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology (MMMUT) in Gorakhpur, India, dedicated to advancing learning and innovation in electrical, electronics, computer, and related engineering fields. Role Description The Owner of IEEE STB MMMUT is responsible for overseeing the overall direction, operations, and strategic growth of the student branch. This full-time, on-site role in Gorakhpur involves planning and approving annual activity calendars, coordinating events, and ensuring alignment with IEEE guidelines and university policies. The role includes supervising committees, mentoring student leaders, and fostering partnerships with faculty, industry, and other IEEE branches. The Owner manages resource allocation, budgeting, and documentation to maintain smooth functioning and compliance. Daily tasks include reviewing project proposals, monitoring ongoing initiatives, supporting member engagement, and representing the branch in official meetings and external collaborations.
Qualifications
- Leadership and management abilities, including experience guiding teams, delegating responsibilities, and overseeing projects or student organizations.
- Strong organizational and planning skills to coordinate events, manage schedules, and handle branch operations efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, faculty, and external partners, and for presenting ideas clearly.
- Background or strong interest in engineering, technology, or related disciplines, with familiarity with IEEE’s mission and activities.
- Ability to work on-site in Gorakhpur full time, maintaining consistent availability for meetings, events, and branch coordination.
- Experience in budgeting, resource management, or administrative roles within academic or professional settings is beneficial.
- Previous involvement in student leadership, clubs, or technical societies, preferably in an IEEE or similar technical community, is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree or ongoing enrollment in an engineering, technology, or related program at MMMUT or similar institution is preferred.
