Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Overseas Education Counsellor role based in Bhopal. The counsellor will meet with prospective students and families to understand their academic background, interests, and career goals, and recommend suitable overseas education options. Daily responsibilities include providing information on courses, universities, admission criteria, scholarships, and visa processes, as well as guiding students through application documentation and timelines. The role involves maintaining accurate student records, following up on leads, coordinating with partner institutions, and conducting counselling sessions, presentations, or seminars as needed. The counsellor will also collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth experience for students from initial inquiry through final admission and departure.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Educational Consulting and Education-related knowledge to advise on programs, universities, and international study pathways.
- Candidates should possess Student Counseling and Career Counseling skills to understand individual goals and provide tailored guidance on academic and career options.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including clear spoken and written communication, active listening, and the ability to explain complex processes in simple terms.
- Candidates should possess basic computer proficiency and familiarity with online application portals, documentation management, and CRM or student tracking tools.
- A bachelor’s degree in any discipline (education, psychology, management, or related fields preferred) and prior experience in overseas education counselling, student advisory services, or related roles will be beneficial.
- Strong interpersonal skills, customer-focused mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a target-driven, collaborative environment are advantageous.
