Role Description
The Study Abroad Advisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad. The advisor will support prospective students through the entire study abroad lifecycle, including initial counseling, program selection, and university shortlisting. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting one-on-one consultations, explaining admission requirements, reviewing application materials, and coordinating documentation and deadlines. The role also involves guiding students and families on visa processes, preparing them for interviews, and providing pre-departure orientation and practical guidance. The advisor will collaborate with internal teams and international partners, maintain accurate records, and ensure timely follow-up with applicants to deliver a high-quality advising experience.
Qualifications
- Ability to provide Educational Consulting and study abroad guidance, including program and university selection.
- Strong Communication and Interpersonal Communication skills to engage effectively with students, families, and institutional partners.
- Knowledge of Visas and related procedures, with the capacity to advise on documentation and interview preparation.
- Consulting skills to assess student profiles, recommend suitable options, and offer clear, structured guidance.
- Bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, international relations, business, or a related field.
- Experience in overseas education counseling, student advising, or education services is preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment, manage multiple cases, and maintain accurate records.
- Proficiency with office software and CRM or student management systems; strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Cultural awareness and sensitivity, with a commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory student support.
