Cybersecurity Product Manager
About the job
OutThink is the world’s leading, AI-native cybersecurity human risk management platform, on a
mission to put humans at the center of security operations. We’re redefining how people engage with
cybersecurity. We go further by giving business security leaders with the tools to prevent
human-initiated security incidents.
Founded in 2019, OutThink’s team is 50+ and growing across our offices in New York, London,
Barcelona and Bangalore. We serve some of the most prominent organizations worldwide including
Whirlpool, Danske Bank, VINCI, and the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank. Our people are ambitious and driven
innovators from a diverse range of backgrounds, passionate about their work, and excited about the
mission we’re on. We’re backed by leading VCs including Albion Capital and Molten Ventures, as well
as innovation bodies including the European Innovation Council and UK Innovation & Research.
We are seeking an ambitious cybersecurity product manager who will assume a pivotal role in
building out OutThink’s Adaptive Security capabilities (integrations, automating conditional access
and security controls). This will draw the bridge between OutThink’s market leading Adaptive
Training capabilities and take enterprise customers on a journey to full cybersecurity Human Risk
Management (HRM). In doing such, you’ll play an important role in helping enterprise organizations
address residual cyber risk that emerges from their highest risk users.
What you’ll do
Drive product execution. Collaborate with the Founder (acting CPO), engineering and product
teams to distill the short, medium, and long-term vision into actionable product outcomes.
Prioritize impactful product investments and opportunities to ensure alignment with the
company's goals.
Champion customer-centricity. Lead by example in understanding customer pain points
through in-depth customer and user research. This will require ongoing interaction with
industry CISOs and security leaders (incl. SOC, IDAM, GRC, etc). You will pragmatically take a
first-principles led approach to design solutions that effectively address their needs, ensuring
OutThink remains customer-focused.
Lead high-velocity product development. You will lead a dynamic product squad that values
rapid execution. You will oversee new product development and identify market
opportunities to keep OutThink ahead of the curve in regards to adaptive security
capabilities.
Foster cross-functional collaboration. Promote smooth collaboration with Engineering to
ensure alignment, rapid and effective implementation of new product features. You will●
further diligently scope and enable technical integrations with external partners and vendors
covering user identity, attack & threat intel, security behaviours, incident management, as
well as access & permissions as a key pillar of the Adaptive Security product roadmap.
Support go-to-market and sales efforts. Partner closely with go-to-market teams to ensure
effective product marketing, messaging, and value articulation. Support large enterprise deal
conversations during the pre-sales phase, building trust and credibility with prospects.
Your background
First and foremost, a great attitude. We’re pioneering on new frontiers. You’ve got the right
attitude towards a sense of urgency, risk and uncertainty about the future that comes with
working at an early-stage scale-up. You’ll be self-managing, self-motivated. This is an
opportunity to be involved in an exciting journey and be a core foundational member of
product at OutThink.
Technical expertise and innovation. You possess a strong technical foundation, ideally with a
degree in computer science, cybersecurity, engineering, or a related discipline. You are an
experienced cybersecurity professional or product manager with 10+ years experience. Your
proven ability to drive technical cybersecurity integrations and lead innovative product
development is essential.
Passion for cybersecurity. You have deep understanding of the cybersecurity ecosystem
including enterprise security operations, cloud security, identity and access management,
endpoint security and data-loss prevention, and understand how each of these can interface
with cybersecurity human risk management.
Proven academic or other excellence. You have a strong educational foundation and can
demonstrate a track record of exceptional performance - whether that be academics, sport,
professional, or another domain of interest. Ideally, you have a degree in a technical,
numerate or semi-numerate discipline (e.g. computer science, engineering).
Collaborative working style. We value getting things done over rigid processes so you will
work well with others, knowing when to get consensus and when to push for closure with
decisiveness. You’re an effective team player with excellent interpersonal and
communication skills. This role will require the highest levels of effective cross-functional
collaboration across product, go-to-market and operations in order to succeed.
