Role Overview:
We are seeking a driven and commercially astute Sales & Business Development Lead to spearhead new client acquisition across both IdeateLab and Aavrutti Studios. This is a results-oriented, field-forward role designed for a sales professional who takes full ownership of the business development function, from prospecting and pipeline building to proposal delivery and deal closure.
The ideal candidate is a confident communicator, a strategic thinker, and an aggressive closer who thrives in a target-driven environment and is motivated by tangible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
New Business Acquisition
- Identify, pursue, and convert high-value prospects across sectors including D2C, e-commerce, SaaS, fintech, real estate, education, and lifestyle brands
- Execute multi-channel outreach strategies — including cold calling, email campaigns, LinkedIn prospecting, and industry networking — to build a consistent and qualified pipeline
- Engage senior decision-makers such as Founders, CMOs, and Brand Heads to initiate discovery conversations and advance opportunities through the sales funnel
Sales Cycle Management
- Own the end-to-end sales process: prospecting → discovery → proposal → negotiation → closure
- Develop tailored pitch decks, proposals, and service presentations in collaboration with internal creative and strategy teams
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all leads, interactions, and deal statuses within the CRM system
Revenue Generation
- Meet and consistently exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets across both entities
- Prioritise high-value, long-term retainer engagements while managing a healthy mix of project-based mandates
- Proactively identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within the existing client base
Market Development & Intelligence
- Represent the organisations at industry events, startup summits, marketing conferences, and professional networking forums
- Track market trends, competitor positioning, and emerging client needs to refine the go-to-market approach
- Provide regular feedback to leadership on market conditions, pricing benchmarks, and service gaps
Desired Skills & Experience:
Essential
- 5-8 years of demonstrated experience in B2B sales within digital marketing, creative services, media, content production, or technology sectors
- A verifiable track record of independently generating leads and closing deals, with measurable revenue outcomes
- Strong ability to engage and influence C-suite and senior marketing stakeholders
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to construct and deliver compelling pitches and proposals
- High degree of self-motivation, initiative, and accountability — with the ability to operate effectively with minimal supervision
- Ability to understand, contextualise, and confidently articulate AI-driven creative and content solutions to prospective clients
Preferred
- An existing professional network within marketing, advertising, D2C, or startup ecosystems
- Working familiarity with AI tools and platforms such as ChatGPT, Midjourney, Runway, or comparable solutions
- Prior experience in an agency, content studio, or creative services environment
- Proficiency with CRM platforms such as HubSpot, Zoho, or equivalent tools
