Othello Community Hospital is a full-service, critical access hospital located in Othello, Washington. Open 24/7, it provides both inpatient and outpatient care to the surrounding Adams County community with a strong commitment to accessible, high-quality healthcare.

OPEN POSITION: Part-Time Temporary Dietary Aide
Othello Community Hospital is seeking a dependable and team-oriented Dietary Aide to support daily food service operations. This temporary, part-time position assists with meal preparation, tray assembly, dishwashing, sanitation, and customer service to help provide nutritious meals for patients, residents, staff, and visitors. We will train for prescribed house diets. You will work some but not all weekends.
- Location: Othello Community Hospital, Othello, WA
- Departments: Dietary
- Schedule: 20hrs/Week, Days, Holidays, Monday through Friday, some weekends.
- Status: Temporary/Part-Time; (not-benefit earning)
- Wage Range: $18.74 – $33.95/hour
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with meal preparation and food portioning according to dietary guidelines
- Assemble and distribute patient meal trays accurately and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, dining, and food preparation areas
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment following sanitation standards
- Stock supplies and assist with inventory rotation and storage
- Follow food safety procedures and infection control guidelines
- Provide courteous service to patients, residents, staff, and visitors
- Assist cooks and dietary staff with additional tasks as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred (GED)
- WA State Food Handlers card are required.
- Previous food service or healthcare experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain attention to detail
- Spanish-speaking is helpful but not required.
