About the role

We are currently on the search for a Placement Specialist who will be responsible for placing our students in internship or employment opportunities during and post study. About this Role: The Placement Specialist position is a newly created role within the Employability Team, and we are on the lookout for a candidate with proven experience in this field who will be able to hit the ground running. This role is a Full-time Permanent position based at our Auckland International Campus in Auckland City. You will also be responsible for: • Developing and maintaining partnerships with employers for internship opportunities or employment • Attend industry events to expand employer network, focusing on high-quality placements • Utilise professional networks to identify and engage with potential industry partners and create new student opportunities • Align internship and career opportunities with student studies and market demands • Prepare all allocated students for interviews and placements • Visit and assess the internship site to meet the internship requirements • Implement a mentorship program linking students with professionals in their field • Facilitate an Alumni Mentor Program, pairing students with alumni mentors relevant to their field of study
