Role Description This is a full-time, on-site OT Assistant role based in Jaipur. The OT Assistant will support occupational therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans, including assisting with therapeutic activities, exercises, and functional training. Responsibilities include preparing treatment areas and equipment, guiding patients through prescribed activities, monitoring patient responses, and documenting progress accurately in patient records. The role involves assisting with rehabilitation programs for a variety of conditions, supporting home-based activity planning, and educating patients and caregivers on safe techniques and use of adaptive equipment. The OT Assistant will collaborate closely with therapists, nurses, and other clinical staff to promote patient independence, comfort, and quality of life while maintaining infection control and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Foundational skills in Occupational Therapy, including assisting with treatment sessions and following therapist-directed protocols.
- Experience or training in Rehabilitation, supporting recovery of functional skills and participation in daily activities.
- Strong Patient Care skills, with a focus on empathy, safety, communication, and maintaining patient dignity.
- Ability to assist with basic Program Development, such as organizing activity schedules and supporting group or individual therapy programs.
- Familiarity with Home Care needs, including supporting home exercise programs and educating families on continuing care at home.
- Diploma or certificate in Occupational Therapy Assistant, Rehabilitation, or related allied health field (or equivalent recognized training).
- Ability to follow clinical instructions, maintain accurate records, and adhere to hospital policies and protocols.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team in a hospital setting.
- Willingness to work on-site in Jaipur and support flexible clinical schedules as needed.
