General Statement of Duties
The MRI Technologist Assistant supports the MRI department by assisting with patient flow, room preparation, and operational efficiency under the direction of the MRI Technologist. The MRI Assistant makes MRI efficient by reducing turnover time and supporting safe patient movement and preparation.
Schedules:
M-F 4pm-7pm
or
Saturday and Sunday 8:45am- 2pm
Essential Functions
- Escort patients to and from MRI suite.
- Assist patients with dressing room preparation.
- Assist with safe patient transfers.
- Support patient positioning under direction of MRI Technologist.
- Prepare and reset MRI room between patients.
- Stock and maintain MRI supplies.
- Maintain MRI safety zone awareness.
- Adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
Education
- High school diploma/GED required.
Experience
- 1+ year customer service or healthcare support experience preferred.
- Radiology or imaging support experience preferred.
Skills & Abilities
- Ability to assist patients safely.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
- Ability to follow directions precisely.
Physical Demand
- May require lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending.
- Assisting with patient transfers.
