Senior Finance Specialist (Travel Key User)

About your role

We are seeking an energetic and proactive senior finance specialist with a development mindset to join Orion's Group Finance and Controlling department. Our department is responsible for providing financial reporting and statutory compliance for Orion Group and its 44 subsidiaries as well as finance support to Orion management and business. We have a modern financial system architecture which is based on extensive use of SAP S/4 Hana products.

This position is part of the team that takes care of accounts payable, travel expenses and payments.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the travel expense process and ensure compliance with Orion travel policy and tax regulations
• Act as the key user and main point of contact of the Orion’s Travel expense system
• Develop processes and system together with finance, information management and people & culture functions
• Participate in development projects
• Perform daily routine checks and verifications of travel expense claims
• Train and support employees in using travel expense system correctly and efficiently
• Participate in accounts payable work

This is a permanent position based at the newly renovated Orion headquarters in Espoo. You'll have the flexibility to work in a hybrid model, following Orion's guidelines, which include currently three days a week in the office.

Our expectations

To succeed in this role, we expect you to have:

• Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)
• Understanding and experience of developing finance processes and tools, preferably in international company
• Minimum of three years of relevant work experience and good understanding of travel process and expertise in relevant tax legislation.
• Knowledge of modern ERP systems such as SAP and preferable SAP HANA
• Proficiency in Finnish and English
• Knowledge of accounts payable process is considered an advantage
  
  

In addition, you possess a keen eye for detail, and you are assertive team member. You are a versatile process developer who confidently handles daily routines.
