Job Description

We are looking to hire a key resource to join the newly established External Supply Operations team at Fermion who would carry responsibility for managing strategic partners performance, improve cross-functional collaboration and implement development project outcomes in co-operation with Fermion’s functions.

This position will be located at Orion’s office in Mumbai to be as close as possible to strategic partners and their sites in India. In daily work, you will collaborate closely with Fermion’s key stakeholders. This role will also include occasional travelling to Finland to familiarize with the production sites in Hanko and Oulu.

Dotted reporting will be to the ESO Director in Finland and direct reporting will be to Head – Own Production Procurement in India.

Summary Of Responsibilities

  • Join Fermion External Supply Operations and collaborate closely with the Fermion External Supply Operations Director
  • Provide operational oversight of, and troubleshooting support to, CMOs to ensure all deliverables meet or exceed Fermion and regulatory requirements (including but not limited to successful execution of manufacturing operations, on-time shipments, quality compliance and cost management)
  • Become an advocate for the CMO, facilitating issue resolution as needed, by bridging the internal and external teams.
  • To assist with operational tasks concerning our partners, including areas such as operations, projects, quality control, and quality assurance.
  • To visit our partners' sites on regular basis
  • Coordinate projects implementation in co-operation with Fermion’s functions
  • Follow up on supplier performance and development according to the set targets
  • Work closely for transfers of intermediates (control of pilot, trial and validation batches) with R&D, QC/QA and Production specialists
  • Control of partners’ production according to the given guidance /orders
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships within the CMO organization as well as key internal stakeholders.

Primary Skills

  • Proven experience of 8-10years in API production management or shop floor operations.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to production sites and supplier locations. Strong knowledge of production processes, materials handling, and supply chain management.
  • Experience managing external supplier relationships and handling logistics coordination.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to solving issue
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Having knowledge of unit operations in chemical processes is an advantage.
  • A teammate able to collaborate with multi-functional departments.
  • Strong leadership and an innate ability to collaborate and build relationships is critical.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
