About the Role

As a Senior Security Analyst, your role involves protecting confidential data and ensuring strict adherence to regulatory requirements. Your primary responsibility is to protect sensitive information through diligent cybersecurity measures. You will oversee various projects that will involve working on configuring the networks, hardware and software for security and privacy at Origin Medical Research Lab.

What will you do?

• Design, implement, and maintain security controls across on-prem and cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) infrastructure.
• Monitor and harden system configurations, firewalls, identity management, and endpoint security.
• Manage patching strategies, secure network segmentation, and data protection policies.
• Monitor SIEM and EDR solutions for anomalies and potential threats.
• Analyze threat intelligence and recommend countermeasures.
• Conduct root cause analysis on identified risks or weaknesses.
• Lead the response to security incidents, coordinating containment, eradication, and recovery efforts.
• Maintain and improve incident response plans, playbooks, and escalation workflows.
• Participate in change management processes to ensure security implications are considered in all system changes.
• Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of compliance programs like ISO27001, NIST, HIPAA, GDPR, and SOC 2.
• Assist with audits, evidence gathering, and risk assessments.
• Maintain policies, procedures, and documentation aligned with regulatory and business needs.
• Schedule and manage regular vulnerability scans on networks, systems, applications, and cloud environments.
• Analyze findings from tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys, Burp Suite) and coordinate remediation with relevant teams.
• Maintain a risk-based VA management program and track remediation SLAs.

Who are we looking for?

• Preferred Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering (Cyber Security/Networking) or Cyber Security or Computer Applications.
• Preferred certification AZ-500, AWS Security, CCSP, PCSE, CEH, ECSA, CHFI, OSCP, GPEN.
• Proven ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
• Data-driven with the ability to analyze and extract insights to support decision-making.
• An individual who can effectively manage multiple projects and has attention to detail
• Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively – both verbally and in writing – in English.
• Previous experience in growing start-up is a plus.
