About the role

The IT Support Engineer c oordinates, diagnoses and troubleshoots incoming colleague service ticket s and p rovides support services to colleague s with technical problems and information technology issues involving desktop, laptop, or network services.

Starting base pay for this role is between $65,000 and $85,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as transferable skills, work experience, business needs, training, location, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role will be eligible for a bonus as well as competitive medical, dental, and vision benefits, wellness reimbursement, life insurance, and a 401(k) with company match. We offer vacation and sick leave benefits (under a flexible time off policy in most states).

Responsibilities

  • Serve s as the first point of contact for c olleagues seeking technical assistance .
  • Perform s remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions .
  • Determine s the best solution based on the issue and details provided by colleague s .
  • Walk s colleagues through the problem-solving process .
  • Direct s unresolved issues to the next level of support .
  • Provide s accurate information on IT products or services .
  • Record s events and problems and their resolution in logs .
  • Provides colleagues with status updates and information .
  • Identif ies and suggest s possible improvements to procedures .
  • Supports and maintains effective relationships with colleagues .
  • Develops, documents, and implements standard operating procedures and service guidelines relating to IT support.
  • Leads and supports internal projects and documentation related to general technology enhancements.
  • Communicates with organization for system-wide issues .
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science , Information Services, or related field .
  • 2 + years’ previous IT Support/Help Desk experience
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with and support both in person and remote users.
  • Experience with Mac and Windows device support. MDM ( JAMF /Intune) , including patch and package management, security compliance, and scripting via PowerShell and Bash.
  • Experience with SaaS tools and management, such as Google Workspace, M365, and Okta is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Risk Management Information Systems (RMIS) a plus
  • Experience working in NIST compliant environments a plus
