Position: Oracle: Operational Research Specialists
Type: Hourly contract
Compensation: $12–$15/hr
Location: Remote
Commitment: 4 Weeks
Role Responsibilities
- Work on complex mathematical optimization and modeling problems
- Develop and validate optimization models for accuracy and efficiency
- Analyze and debug issues in mathematical formulations
- Apply Linear Programming (LP), Mixed Integer Linear Programming (MILP), and Non-Linear Programming (NLP) techniques
- Collaborate with teams to ensure model correctness and real-world applicability
- Identify logical gaps, inconsistencies, and performance issues in models
- Document approaches, findings, and improvements clearly
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Research, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- Strong experience in optimization, modeling, or related domains
- Strong hands-on experience with LP, MILP, and NLP
- Proven ability to validate and debug complex mathematical models
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and logical reasoning
- Ability to commit at least 20 - 40 hours/week with 4-hour PST overlap
Good-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Oracle optimization tools or similar OR platforms
- Exposure to real-world optimization problems in industry
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced, research-driven environments
- Familiarity with advanced optimization techniques and tools
