Position Description
We are seeking an experienced Oracle EBS Technical Consultant to join our Application Development Team. This role is ideal for a professional with expertise in Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) R11i/R12 who will focus on delivering minor enhancements, custom developments, and optimizations to improve the system's functionality. The successful candidate will work closely with business users and functional teams to implement technical solutions that meet evolving business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development of minor enhancements and custom solutions for Oracle EBS modules (Finance, HRMS, Procurement, etc.) to align with business requirements.
Design, develop, and implement RICE (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions) components, ensuring seamless integration with existing Oracle EBS modules.
Write and optimize SQL/PL-SQL queries, as well as develop Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, and BI Publisher reports to meet business needs.
Assist in the customization and personalization of Oracle Application Framework (OAF) to extend the platform's capabilities as per the business requirements.
Work on Oracle APIs, REST/SOAP APIs, and file-based integrations to ensure smooth data exchange between Oracle EBS and third-party applications.
Participate in the design and testing of technical solutions for Oracle EBS applications to ensure functionality, performance, and quality standards are met.
Address technical issues and implement fixes to ensure minimal disruption in business operations while maintaining system stability.
Collaborate with functional teams to understand the requirements for minor system enhancements and propose technical solutions that are scalable and cost-effective.
Provide support in system upgrades, patches, and enhancements to ensure smooth transitions and minimal system downtime.
Ensure that all developments and enhancements comply with internal standards, best practices, and security policies.
Contribute to the documentation of technical specifications, solution designs, and changes implemented in Oracle EBS.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 8+ years of experience as an Oracle EBS Technical Consultant, with strong expertise in EBS R11i and R12.
Solid experience in SQL/PL-SQL, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, and BI Publisher development for custom solutions and reports.
Hands-on experience with Oracle Application Framework (OAF) personalization, customization, and extension.
Knowledge of Oracle EBS APIs, REST/SOAP APIs, and file-based integrations.
Strong understanding of Oracle EBS modules, including Finance, Procurement, and HRMS, with the ability to implement minor enhancements and fixes in these modules.
Proven ability to develop and implement RICE components (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions) in Oracle EBS.
Familiarity with Oracle EBS upgrades and patching processes.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and ensure successful implementation of development requests.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Desired Skills:
Experience with Oracle EBS integration with third-party systems (e.g., payment gateways, external applications).
Understanding of Oracle EBS security best practices and data management.
Familiarity with Agile project methodologies and version control systems like Git.
