Job Title: Oracle API & REST Services Developer
Hours: Full time (40-hours per week)
Location: Hyderabad - Hybrid 3 days a week in the office ( please note you must currently be based in Hyderabad)

We are looking for an Oracle API & REST Services Developer to build, extend, and secure our enterprise web applications and API layer. You will focus on developing custom, database-backed web applications using Oracle APEX while designing and managing robust RESTful web services (ORDS) routed through OCI API Gateway.
This role is ideal for a developer who excels at turning complex database logic into modern APEX interfaces and lightweight, secure API endpoints for internal and external consumption.

Key responsibilities include:
- APEX Application Engineering: Build and maintain scalable Oracle APEX applications, utilizing Interactive Grids, Dynamic Actions, and custom PL/SQL back-end processing.
- RESTful Service Development: Design, publish, and document high-performance REST APIs using Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS) and PL/SQL packages.
- OCI API Gateway Deployment: Route and manage endpoints through OCI API Gateway, setting up rate limits, authentication policies, and CORS headers.
- API Security & Access Control: Enforce security protocols across APIs and APEX modules using OAuth 2.0, JWT, ORDS privileges, and OCI IAM integration.
- Database Logic & Performance: Write clean, efficient PL/SQL code (packages, procedures, triggers) and tune complex SQL queries for maximum speed.
- Front-End Enhancements: Implement custom JavaScript, CSS, and HTML within APEX to refine user experience and handle dynamic client-side interactions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Oracle APEX: 1-3 years of professional experience building enterprise (preferably APEX) applications.
- ORDS & REST APIs: Proven experience creating and managing RESTful endpoints (preferably) with ORDS), handling complex JSON request/response structures.
- OCI API Gateway: Hands-on experience configuring endpoints, routes, and security deployments on OCI API Gateway.
- Web Security Fundamentals: Deep understanding of REST authentication models (OAuth 2.0, Bearer tokens, API keys) and web security basics (CORS, XSS, SQL injection prevention).
Preferred / Bonus Skills
- Familiarity with OpenAPI / Swagger specification standards.
- Experience automating APEX/ORDS deployments using CI/CD tools or version control (Git, Liquibase).
- Exposure to modern front-end frameworks or custom JavaScript libraries used within APEX.
- PL/SQL Mastery: Strong skills in writing and optimizing database logic (packages, functions, triggers, and query performance tuning).
