Job Title: Oracle DBA
Location- Hybrid (Pune, Chennai)
Employment Type- Permanent (Immediate Joiner)

Role Summary:
The Oracle DBA will administer and manage Oracle databases on Exadata and Exadata Cloud Services (ExaCS). Responsibilities include provisioning, lifecycle management, performance tuning, backup and recovery, high availability configuration, and ensuring database security and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
● Provision, configure, and manage Oracle databases on Exadata and ExaCS using OCI Console and APIs.
● Install, patch, upgrade, and maintain Oracle database software and Exadata components.
● Design and implement backup and recovery strategies using RMAN and OCI snapshot capabilities.
● Configure and manage High Availability solutions, including Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and ASM.
● Monitor database performance and perform tuning of SQL, instance, and storage.
● Implement database security best practices: user management, roles, privileges, encryption, and auditing.
● Automate routine DBA tasks using scripting and orchestration tools.
● Support database migrations, capacity planning, and disaster recovery exercises.
● Collaborate with application teams for schema changes, deployments, and troubleshooting.
● Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and SOPs.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
● 10–12 years of Oracle DBA experience, including Exadata and ExaCS.
● Strong experience with RMAN, Data Guard, Oracle RAC, and ASM.
● Proficiency with OCI Console, OCI APIs, and cloud database management.
● Experience with database lifecycle management: installation, patching, and upgrades.
● Scripting skills (Shell, Python, or similar) for automation.
● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
Preferred Skills:
● Experience with cloud migration projects and hybrid cloud architectures.
● Familiarity with monitoring tools (OEM, Grafana, Prometheus).
● Knowledge of database security frameworks and compliance standards.
● Exposure to containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
Performance Indicators:
● Database availability and uptime metrics.
● Adherence to RTO and RPO targets.
● Mean time to resolve (MTTR) for database incidents.
