Requirements

• Troubleshooting and handling requests across the various platforms and database engines we manage.
• Knowledge of Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL database engines.
• Knowledge of cloud-based database administration (IaaS/PaaS), preferably GCP or Azure.
• Database monitoring (Standalone, RAC, and Standby).
• Database performance tuning and analysis.
• Script execution.
• Database access and privilege management.
• Administration and/or use of tools such as Oracle Cloud Control, Microsoft SCOM, and Zabbix.
• Reviewing infrastructure and application performance issues.
• Knowledge of Oracle DataGuard, Sql Server Always ON, Mysql and PostgreSQL Master/Slave replication.
• Database upgrade and patching.
• Knowledge of database platform migrations.
• Knowledge of data cleansing strategies for large databases.
• Knowledge of replication and high availability solutions for Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL database engines.
• Backup and recovery of Databases.
• Database maintenance tasks (table defragmentation/index recreation/tablespace reconstruction).
• Database installation and configuration.
• Knowledge and experience with replication schemes using Oracle Golden Gate.
• Availability to participate in rotating on-call shifts and special after-hours activities.
