Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment & Planning: Identify and assess on-premises workloads, virtual machines (VMs), and databases. Create migration strategies (Rehost, Replatform).
- Migration Execution: Utilize tools like Oracle Cloud Migrations service to replicate VMs and databases to OCI.
- Database Migration: Execute complex migrations for Oracle Databases using OCI Database Migration Service, GoldenGate, and Data Pump, often with zero or minimal downtime.
- Infrastructure Management: Provision and manage OCI networking (VCN), compute (VMs/Bare Metal), and storage (Block Volumes, Object Storage).
- VMware Migration: Leverage Oracle Cloud VMware Solution (OCVS) to migrate VMware workloads to OCI.
- Application Migration: Migrate Oracle applications such as JD Edwards, E-Business Suite (EBS), or PeopleSoft to OCI.
- Validation & Security: Perform testing to validate application performance and implement OCI security best practices (IAM).
