Project Overview CTD-Project Paloma - Oracle Cloud Operations
Role Scope / Deliverables
- Oracle Quarterly Patching & Release Management Plan, schedule, and execute Oracle quarterly Critical Patch Updates (CPU) / Release Updates (RU). Perform impact analysis, dependency mapping, and risk assessment prior to patching. Coordinate patching across environments (DEV, TEST, UAT, PROD). Validate patch success via smoke testing and post-patch health checks. Maintain patch compliance reports and audit documentation. 2. Enhancement Cycle Management Support business-driven enhancement requests across Oracle Cloud environments. Collaborate with functional and technical teams to implement enhancements. Ensure proper version control, change tracking, and rollback strategies. Conduct regression validation and performance benchmarking post-enhancement. 3. Migration & Environment Management Execute environment migrations Manage data migration, schema replication, and configuration consistency. Validate migration integrity, including reconciliation and performance checks. Maintain environment parity across lifecycle stages. 4. Monitoring, Performance & Availability Implement and maintain monitoring solutions Proactively track system health, performance metrics, and capacity utilization. Troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and implement fixes. Ensure high availability and adherence to SLAs. 5. Upgrade & Downtime Management Plan and execute Oracle Cloud upgrades (application, database, infrastructure). Define and communicate downtime windows with stakeholders. Minimize business disruption through optimized upgrade strategies. Validate system functionality post-upgrade and ensure service restoration. 6. RBAC Enhancement & Setup Deep understanding of RBAC for any role remediations Oracle Cloud setup & Maintenance 7. Oracle Support (SR) Management Raise, track, and manage Oracle Service Requests (SRs). Act as primary liaison between internal teams and Oracle Support. Provide detailed diagnostics, logs, and reproduction steps for issue resolution. Ensure timely closure and knowledge capture from resolved SRs. 8. Maintenance & Refresh Cycles Plan and execute regular environment refreshes (e.g., PROD NON-PROD clones). Maintain data masking and compliance during refresh activities. Coordinate maintenance windows and ensure minimal disruption. Validate system readiness post-maintenance. 9. Post-Processing & Validation Execute post-deployment/post-patching validation steps. Perform data integrity checks, batch job validations, and reconciliation. Ensure all dependent services and integrations are functioning correctly. Document outcomes and sign-off readiness. 10. SOPs, Documentation & Knowledge Management Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all operational activities. Document automation workflows, runbooks, and troubleshooting guides. Ensure documentation is audit-ready and aligned with governance standards. Contribute to knowledge base and continuous process improvement. 11. Governance, Compliance & Change Management Adhere to ITIL-based change management processes. Maintain audit trails for patching, upgrades, and production changes. Ensure compliance with security policies and Oracle best practices. Participate in CAB (Change Advisory Board) discussions where required.
