We are launching new technology and capabilities in Diligence, Compliance, Servicing, Advisory, Commercial and more, thus seeking an experienced Business Development Professional who is well-versed in our market. The successful candidate will focus on evangelizing the value of Opus with prospects, structuring pitch decks, advising, and communicating the story and value add of partnering with Opus CMC, LLC.

Position Purpose

The Business Development Director is responsible for building a pipeline of qualified targets within the services offered by Opus CMC, LLC. Growth will be achieved working with current clients and developing new relationships.

Ideal Candidates

To be successful in this position the ideal candidate will have Business Development experience in the TPR space with extensive contacts in capital markets. Additionally, the candidate will have a thorough understanding of the loan reviews and vendor platforms.

Must have a background in Capital Markets, Investor Contacts, OR have been in a position where they have had access to a significant number of Encompass lenders.

Responsibilities

  • Under limited direction, incumbent cultivates relevant markets by developing and maintaining industry and product knowledge, understanding of customers’ needs and concerns, participating in appropriate trade organizations and their events, and continuously promoting a positive company image.
  • Developing and executing marketing strategies to promote the organization’s products and services to new clients
  • Participating in strategic planning sessions with senior management to identify business opportunities and develop plans for growth
  • Presenting proposals to clients that outline scopes of services, pricing terms and other details of working together with the client in addition to negotiating the MSA and SOW terms.
  • Studying the client’s business model to determine which products or services would be most beneficial
  • Meeting with existing clients to determine whether they are satisfied with the company’s services or products and whether they have any suggestions for improvement
  • Working with members of the sales staff to develop new strategies for selling products or services to clients in other market segments
  • Developing and managing long-term relationships with clients to ensure continued satisfaction with the company’s services while identifying other areas where they could benefit from Opus’ support
  • Tracking client activity to ensure that they are following through on their commitments to use the company’s products or services
  • Serves as informed resource to clients, sales support, marketing, and management regarding sales activity and ongoing operations.

Qualifications

Ten years’ experience in sales in the Third-Party review sector (Residential Mortgage Due Diligence, Commercial Mortgage Due Diligence, Compliance Services, Servicing Reviews, and Advisory Services), with strong relationships with the influencers and decision makers within the industry. Must have a history of being a trusted partner.

  • Residential Mortgage Due Diligence, Commercial Mortgage Due Diligence, Compliance Services, Servicing Reviews, and Advisory Services
  • Must be able to make decisions and resolve problems using experience and professional judgement, and make effective recommendations regarding the use of funds, equipment, and people.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office, CRM’s collaboration tools and a welcoming advocate for technologies
  • Calm under pressure
  • Proven business development in the Mortgage BPO environment
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • Excellent leadership, communication written and oral and interpersonal skills
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Known as a Hunter
  • Go getter, not afraid to knock on doors

Travel Requirements

  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license in the state you reside in.?
  • Must maintain a good driving record.
  • Travel within the guidelines of the OPUS CMC travel policy.

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time. Ability to use computer keyboard and monitor for extended periods of time.
