Responsibilities
- Conduct eye examinations to assess vision and detect signs of ocular diseases.
- Perform refraction, retinoscopy, and other tests to determine the right prescription for eyeglasses or contact lenses.
- Provide advice to patients on proper eye care techniques and options for treatment.
- Monitor and manage ocular conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, and dry eyes.
- Maintain detailed patient records and documentation of the provided care.
Requirements
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Optometry or a related field.
- Valid license to practice as an Optometrist in Karnataka.
- Strong knowledge and experience in refraction, retinoscopy, and other relevant diagnostic tools.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex medical information in an understandable manner.
- Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
- Customer service orientation and compassion towards patients.
