Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Optometrist based in Chennai. In this position, the Optometrist will conduct comprehensive eye exams, diagnose and treat vision problems, and prescribe corrective lenses or other treatments as necessary. They will play a key role in ensuring excellent patient care, providing consultations, promoting eye health, and educating customers about eye care products and recommendations tailored to their needs. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry advancements and compliance with professional standards is essential.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in conducting detailed eye examinations and interpreting diagnostic results
- Strong knowledge of vision science, including ocular diseases and management techniques
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for patient education and consultations
- Ability to work collaboratively in a retail or healthcare setting
- Prior experience with eyewear dispensing and basic repairs is an advantage
- Proficiency in using ophthalmic equipment and technology
- Qualification in Optometry (Diploma, Bachelor’s, or higher is preferred)
- A commitment to providing top-notch customer service and promoting eye health awareness
