Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Optometrist role based in Bengaluru. The Optometrist will perform comprehensive eye examinations, including refraction, visual acuity testing, and assessment of binocular vision and ocular health. The role involves accurately prescribing spectacles and contact lenses, advising customers on lens options and frame suitability, and ensuring high standards of clinical care. The Optometrist will educate customers on eye health, proper lens use, and follow-up care, while maintaining precise clinical records. Collaboration with store teams on best-in-class customer experience, inventory feedback, and in-store eye care awareness activities is also an integral part of this role.
Qualifications
- Recognized degree or diploma in Optometry, with valid registration as required by local regulations.
- Strong clinical skills in refraction, contact lens fitting, and basic ocular health evaluation.
- Ability to counsel customers on lens types, coatings, frame selection, and eye health best practices.
- Comfort working in a high-traffic retail environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric and inclusive approach.
- Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru on a full-time schedule, including weekends or extended hours as needed.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic record-keeping and store systems; prior optical retail experience is an advantage.
- Commitment to continuous learning in optometry, new lens technologies, and eyewear trends.
